1.     Reach out to friends and family

Ask them about their health goals to get a conversation started. Talk about the daily habits that help them the most. Look for ways to connect on similar goals and habits. Are there ways you can support each other?

Use it to stay connected to others who share your healthy intentions. Look at your social media feed. What sorts of accounts do you follow or engage with? If they are spreading negative self-image or causing you unnecessary stress, just unfollow. Make sure the types of news and images you see while scrolling support your goals and self-care.

3.     Be open to share

When you are open with others, they are more likely to be open and trusting with you. Share what is working for you now, as well as what is presenting challenges. Be open to feedback and advice. Remember, those you are sharing your journey with are there to support you. They want to hold you up and give you encouragement. If there are challenges, let them know. Talking about it can help you work out solutions.

4.     Keep everyone updated

Keep your companions updated on your progress. Even if your outcomes fall short of your expectations. There will always be ups and downs as your progress towards your health goals. The support you receive from those sharing your journey can help you refocus and recharge your motivation.
